Pan-seared Salmon & Asparagus

A. Ingredients (1 person):

- Salmon fillet (skin on): 2 pieces
- Asparagus: 4-5 spears
- Butter: 1 tbs
- Garlic: 2 cloves
- Olive oil, salt, pepper

B. Preparations (without air fryer):

  1. Make sure the salmon is at room temperature and dry. Use towel to absorb the salmon if needed.

  2. Season salmon and asparagus with salt & pepper. (Tips: If the diameter of asparagus is fairly large, peel the outer layer from middle to bottom before seasoning for better texture and tastes)

  3. Put a pan on stove with no heat and put a tablespoon of olive oil. Then add salmon into the pan, skin side down, and then raise the heat to medium-high. (Tips: Pan sear the salmon from low heat will slowly fry the skin and make it evenly cooked and crispier)

  4. When the skin turns to golden brown, flip the salmon. Add 1 tablespoons of butter and garlics, then baste the salmon for 3-5 minutes.

  5. Take the salmon out and add asparagus. Stir fry for 5 minutes. Serve with the salmon. Enjoy~

C. Preparations (air fryer):

  1. Season the salmon with salt & pepper. Spray a bit of olive oil into the skin of the salmon.

  2. Put the salmon into air fryer’s basket, skin side down. Set the temperature at 350F degree for 6-8 minutes and start cooking.

  3. In the mean time, prepare and stir fry the asparagus as above. When it is cooked, the salmon should be ready as well. Enjoy~
