Sweet Sour Short Ribs

A. Ingredients (for 2 ppl):

- Short ribs: 6-8 pcs
- Tomato: 2-3
- Shallots: 1-2
- Garlic: 3-4 cloves
- Sugar, salt, soy sauce, fish sauce

B. Preparations:

  1. Marinate the ribs with crushed garlics, 1 tbs of fish sauce, a pinch of salt, and a pinch of sugar.

  2. Slice the shallots and tomato.

  3. Put a pan into medium-high heat and add some oil. When the pan is hot, fry the ribs until each side is crispy and golden. Remove the ribs afterward.

  4. On a same pan, fry the shallots on medium heat until it turns golden brown. Add tomato and a pinch of salt, then cover the pan. After 3-4 minutes, take of the cover and smash the tomato.

  5. Add 1/2 cup of water and 1 tbs of soy sauce, then stir the sauce. When it is hot, add the ribs and slow cook for 10-15 minutes.

  6. Serve the ribs and sauce with rice.
